Maria di Battista, M.A.

Maria Di Battista is a licensed MFC practicing in the San Fernando Valley, as well as at Families Counseling Center. Ms. Di Battista earned her Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the Phillips Graduate Institute in 2003. She is also a graduate of UCLA, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 1999.

Ms. Di Battista is currently a Mental Health Clinician for the El Centro De Amistad Inc., where she works with children and families in a school setting. Ms. Di Battista previously served as both a residential and outpatient therapist at Penny Lane Centers, which involved work with families and duties as an on-call crisis prevention contact. Most recently Ms. Di Battista was certified through the Nu Parent Program at Children¢s Bureau.  Ms. Di Battista hopes to utilize this parenting course as a preventive tool to help better the families she works with.

As an intern in the Latino Family Therapy Program, Ms. Di Battista worked primarly with individuals and couples.  She uses this experience to assist the parents of the children she works with today.

Meanwhile, please note that Ms. Di Battista is available for Saturday appointments, and is proficient in Spanish as well as English.  She sees adults and couples for therapy.

Families Counseling Center is owned by Deborah Tucker, M.A., and is the practice site of several other licensed therapists. Each therapist's practice is separately owned, and completely independent.
