Two Simple Ways to be a Happier Parent

Happy family iz happySo I was cleaning off my work desk at home, and came across an article I had clipped to blog about.  Now the sad part is it’s from 2010, so that might tell you something about the depth of the stacks on my desk.  But the great part is that the information is just as useful now as it was then.

Basically the article points out that we parents should ask ourselves:

1.  When are you happiest with your kids?

2.  What part of the normal day with your family routinely causes suffering?

Then, do more of that makes you happy, and work diligently to reduce or change the things that cause suffering.  Simple concept; takes work to accomplish; so worth it!

Read the article and see what you think.  Meanwhile, I’m going back to cleaning that desk!
